Instructions:
Step 1: Cut each of the pipe cleaners in half, and cut a small piece off one end of one of the red pieces. (Save this small piece. It will be used for for the turkey’s face.)
Step 2: Bend the pipe cleaners in half, so they make a loop on one end.
Step 3: Lay the pipe cleaners out so they look like a fan, with the loop at the top of each one. Rotate the colors so you have one of each color, then repeat the same order a second time.
Step 4: Glue all of the pipe cleaners together where they join at the base, then glue them to the wide end of a pine cone. Set this aside to dry.
Step 5: While the tail is drying, print out the Pinecone Turkey Pattern and cut it out.
Step 6: Use the pattern to cut out one turkey head from brown construction paper, and one turkey beak from yellow construction paper.
Step 7: Stick the wiggly eyes to the turkey’s head. Most wiggly-eyes comes with a sticky adhesive backing, but if your don't simply add a little dot of glue to the back of each eye.
Step 8: Fold the beak in half, and glue it on the fold below the eyes.
Step 9: Bend the small piece of red pipe cleaner, then glue it in place above and down the side of the beak.
Step 10: Glue the head to the narrower end of the pine cone.
Step 11: Display your Pine Cone Turkey on your Thanksgiving table. Add a name card and use it as a place holder.

Supplies:
-
Mason Jar or other container of choice
-
smokeless candle wicks
-
flaked soy wax
-
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
-
1 tbsp cinnamon
-
1/2 tbsp ground clove
Instructions:
Step 1: Start by melting your wax. You’ll need about 2 cups of melted wax for a standard pint mason jar. Start with one cup of wax flakes and microwave for two minutes. Continue microwaving at 1 minute intervals until melted. Add another cup of wax to the container and again microwave in one minute intervals until it is all melted.
Step 2: While you wax is melting, prepare your candle wick. Wrap the end of the wick around a wood skewer or pencil and balance the skewer on the top of the jar-this holds the wick in place while your candle sets. Make sure the metal end of the wick rests all the way at the bottom of the jar.
Step 3: When the wax is completely melted add vanilla and spices, mixing well with a skewer. Slowly pour the wax mixture into the jar, adjusting your wick if it moves during the pouring. If there are any air bubbles on the sides of the jar use your wood skewer to rub the inside of the jar to release them to the top. This is aesthetic-if you’re using an opaque container this isn’t an issue.
Step 4: Allow the candle to set for 4-5 hours until firm. Light it up and enjoy! I love seeing the specks of spice in the wax and how it settles in different ways through the wax as it dries!
