1. How do you feel about the Newark Tech environment so far? I love the positive environment at NT so far. We work hard and play harder and that is how it should be!

2. How long have you been teaching or an aide? I have been a School Counselor for two years.

 

3. What are your feelings about teaching or being an aide? There is no other profession I would rather do. Being able to build rapport with students and assist them on a daily basis on academics and beyond is very rewarding.

 

4. Did you plan to follow this particular career path? Yes, I did. My former elementary school counselor inspired me to become one.

 

5. What do you consider the role of a teacher or aide? A School Counselor’s role is to advocate and support students academically and emotionally as well all while collaborating with parents, school staff, and community to ensure student’s goals and needs are being met.
