Diversity Week
International Food, Music, and Culture
In this issue, the staff decided to focus on improvement as the theme. Increasing, highlighting and celebrating diversity by improvement throughout Newark Tech motivated this semester's issue. Newark Tech honored International Week with several school wide activities. Terriers participated in setting up board decorations throughout the day. The students feasted on the Chinese dish of General Tso's Chicken. The second event was the "Messages Around the World" activity, which culminated in German Bavarian delights. The celebration continued with a "Cultural Mash Up." The Caribbean was honored with the delightful dish of jerk chicken followed by a Mexican Fiesta where students and staff dressed up to represent different cultures and enjoyed enchiladas. The final event was a tour around the world is 60 minutes.
