In celebration of Women's History Month, Newark Tech was the location of a very powerful Women History Month Empowerment panel discussion. Women gathered together to empower, share and celebrate the accomplishments of not only the female students but the strong women within the Newark Tech community. Please view the video highlights of a very special and powerful exchange of strength. The honored speakers were Vanessa Gross, the first Latina firefighter in Jersey City, Dicxianna Carbonell, the first Latina Assistant to Superintendent of Instruction and Curriculum, Sheena Chapman ( business teacher and Fashion Club advisor), Cheryl Hamilton ( School Nurse), Cathleen Smith (Supervisor of Social Studies and Affirmative Action Officer) .
