Dear Readers,
As we begin 2017 now more than ever it is important that we focus on our youth. What are they thinking, doing, talking about? Social Media is a large part of their day and night. How can students help students or teachers help students cope on a daily basis with all that they encounter in and out of school? What are their plans from day to day and year to year and ultimately after graduation?
In this issue, we have a monologue reflecting thoughts of a Latina senior, thoughts about our theme of "looking into the mind of a teen", technology apps to help students be more productive and interviews with new Newark Tech Terrier family members to mention some of our highlights.
As educators, we impact their present condition and futures in more ways than we daily realize. Reflect on the drawing above and think about which of the areas you can help a student develop strength or vision as we begin 2017. Let us make sure that 2017 is a year to help a student grow and that we find ways to answer more questions to produce well-rounded young adults. Please also take the time to view our special photo edition as a way of viewing some students who you may have overlooked or said: "I didn't know they can do that."
